Typ 356 Northeast is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the
356 Porsche and to the fellowship of 356 enthusiasts

This year our Drive Your Porsche Day to Honor Ferdinand Porsche's Birthday (DYPD-South) will be to benefit the Jimmy Fund. We would like to make it something special and ask for $10.00 (or more) donation per car. All proceeds would be donated to the Jimmy Fund from the TYP356ne in the names of all of our friends and family who have had to face cancer or have had loved ones suffer this terrible illness.

Our plan is to have ALL interested (north, south, east west) members, meet at Presidents Ave. just off route 24 in Fall River at around 9:30am leaving at 9:45am. We would then drive east on route 195 east to Marion, MA where we will pick up Route 105. We can meet anybody that would find it easier to start the drive there (195/105) at about 10:15am.

We'll caravan on the very scenic and winding route 105 through Rochester-Long Plain-Freetown-Lakeville to Myricks Airfield in Berkley,MA for the Experimental Aircraft Association chapter 196 annual "Fly In" there.

All information and Directions to Myricks Airfield is on their web site: www.eaa196.com

We've done this the past couple of years and thought it was not only a great drive but it was very interesting seeing all the different airplanes. You will be able to see the planes "drop in" on the grass landing field. There have been planes doing some stunt flying with smoke and also what they call "Fly By's, coming in fairly low and waving their wings back and forth.
It is a great family day at the Myricks Airfield.

There will be food (hot dogs and hamburgers) and drinks. but it is also fine to bring your own luncheon if you would prefer.

We hope you all can join us for our DPYD and in support of the Jimmy Fund.

Please let Bill Sooter (BSooter@typ356ne.org) know if you will be joining us for the drive or will be going directly to Myricks airfield..
