The 2008 "Spring Tour" is scheduled for the weekend of May 16-18. This year's destination hotel will be the lovely Woodstock Inn and Resort, in Woodstock, Vermont.
The nonrefundable registration fee this year will be $30 per person (down from $50 in 2007, due to the elimination of a "group" lunch stop on Friday). The fee covers printing and mailing costs for registration packets, as well as the hors d'oeuvres at Friday and Saturday evening's cocktail receptions. Both parties, by the way, feature a "cash bar".
There is a 2-night minimum, and the room rate is $190/night (single or double) +9% tax and a $3.00 maid fee daily. Guest room rates include use of the resort's indoor Racquet and Fitness Club's pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, racquet courts, fitness classes and exercise room. We have also negotiated a MAP (breakfast and dinner) meal plan for $80 a day per person that includes all taxes and gratuities. The package price for a couple for the entire weekend is $740.20, all inclusive, or $580.20 for a single, not including the registration fee. It goes without saying that your drinks are extra.
To register, please send a check, made out to "Typ356ne Spring Tour", for $30 single, or $60 double. Include your copilots name (if applicable), address, e-mail address, cell phone number and year/model/color of the car you plan to drive. Once you have that in the mail to Don Osborne, 136 Washington Road, Rye, NH. 03870, you should contact the Woodstock Inn (800-448-7900) for your room reservation. Identify yourself as part of the "Vintage Porsche Club". A one -night room deposit will be required. Any cancellation received without 14 days advanced notice will forfeit one night's room rate.
