German Car Day
Update (6/16/2009)
Since I will be placing the cars on the field again this year I have agreed to handle the registration
for our 356 group. This will be a no risk registration. For those attending I need name, year, model and
color of car but no payment. If it rains and you can't come out and play it won't cost you anything. If it's
a nice day you can pay ($20) upon arrival and a packet will be waiting for you to speed things up. Either way
we will leave MOT about 2 pm to motor out to our house for a cookout in Medfield. Go to either or go to both,
I just need to know your plans to allow space and/or buy enough beer. Remember, it's Fathers' Day so if you're
ever going to get to do what you want that's the day. Unless of course your father insists that you show up
at his place.

Once again the Lars Anderson Museum of Transportation will present German Car Day on Father’s Day, June 21, 2009. Placement on the lawn will begin at 9:00AM with Porsches, BMW’s, Mercedes, and the occasional Opel displayed for all to see. The judging begins at 10:00 and is done by those in attendance as they try to pick their favorites of each manufacturer. Peoples Choice winners announced and trophies awarded promptly at 1:00pm.
Admission is $10, car registration $20. Entering the event includes two admissions so you can see the wisdom of parking your car on the grass for this event, especially if there are two or more aboard.
Various vendors display automotive products and food is available. 356’s tend to overpower this event with 15-20 cars on display the last few years.
Typ356 members will meet at the Dunkin Donuts on the eastbound side of Rt 9 a mile from Rt 128 at 8:30AM in order to make an entrance and park together at the event.
Come join us rain or shine. If you can’t pick your fun on Father’s Day when can you?
