Administration
- The Meeting Minutes from April 5, 2005 were approved as submitted.
- Jerry Tulis presented the Treasurer’s report. The current Club balance is $6,875.30; however, there are a large number of expenses relating to the upcoming Spring Tour as well as the Club insurance that will have to be paid from this balance. The Club insurance is estimated to be approximately $900.
- Bob DiCorpo, Membership Chairman, reported that there are 114 paid up members.
Scheduling and Events
Because of the large number of events on the Club Calendar, and due to the
fact that they are displayed on the Club Website: www.typ356NE.org the details
that have historically occupied this space will be omitted. All pertinent
information will continue to be communicated by the Club e-mail in a timely
fashion. The events are reviewed, discussed and coordinated at the Board
meeting.
If anyone has an objection to this approach for the schedule please notify Jim
O’Hare at jimohare3@comcast.net.
New Business
- A discussion took place regarding the Club insurance. Jerry Tulis contacted our agent at the J. C. Taylor Company and he presented a very informative discussion concerning our existing policy. In summary, the Board feels that the current policy is generally adequate. A four page outline of the policy was submitted by Jerry to the Board. If any Club member would like a copy of the summary, please contact Jim O’Hare at jimohare3@comcast.net and I will forward the four page summary.
- Jim O’Hare presented what he learned from talking to two lawyers and his
personal insurance agent as to what the potential liabilities might be
specifically in regard to the Officers of the Club. No firm conclusion could
be attained. However, Jerry Tulis and Jim O’Hare are going to have a further
meeting with Gordon Feener, Esq. In order to get a better understanding of
the potential exposure of the Club’s Officers in the event of an adverse
occurrence. A further report will be forth coming at the June meeting.
The June Board Meeting will be held on June 7, 2005 at a place to be
determined.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Jim O’Hare, Secretary
