The Typ356ne club was well represented at the 356 Registry's 2006 East Coast Holiday (ECH) which was recently held from August 17-20, 2006 in Mystic, Conn. Several members drove down together on Thursday and stopped for a great lunch at the Cracker Barrel half way down to Mystic, Conn. On Friday night, a number of the members went to Mohegan Sun for dinner and relaxation. Approximately 25 club members were registered with another 10+ driving down for the Concours D'Elegance event on Saturday. There were 110 cars registered at the Concours event held at the beautiful Harkness State Park. As always, there were some magnificent cars in every category. The Tech, Literature and Memorabilia sessions, Swap Meet, the Goodie Store and Stoddards Hospitality Suite were all great. At the Banquet Dinner and Awards on Saturday night our club did outstanding in taking home 3 awards. Thanks to all the wonderful people who contributed to this cause. 2nd Place.....Hank and Judy Hanmer (61 B Super 90 Coupe)
The group had a terrific time at the ECH. The members of the 356 Registry are truly amazing. As a result of the donations at the ECH the Registry was able to collect and donate $1,050.00 to the Jimmy Fund on behalf of Joel Horvitz. Thanks to all the wonderful people who contributed to this cause.
