Maine Fall Foliage Trip (1 through 27 of 27)
Twenty Seven members of the Typ356ne Club participated in a drive up the coast of Maine on Oct 6-8, 2006. The club met Friday morning at a rest stop off I-95 at the NH-MA state line. A drivers meeting was held and a terrific Tour package (maps, itinerary, list of participants, etc.) was prepared by Bill and Connie Collins. The group made a brisk drive up to the Muddy Rudder in S. Freeport, Me. for lunch. Then dove to Freeport for several hours of shopping. Later in the day we stopped for dessert at Moody's Diner in Waldoboro. We stayed two nights at the Glenmoor by the Sea just north of Camden. A excellent dinner was had on Friday night at Chez Michel. On Saturday we drove up to Bar Harbor and group photo on Cadillac Mountain. We also had a well planned out scavenger hunt "Wild Moose Chase" and relaxed at the end of the day with drinks and dinner at the Lobster Pound. Sunday we drove down to Owls Head Transportation Museum for a car and antique airplane show. If you are ever in the area south of Camden this museum is a must to see. The weather was wonderful thanks to the MoJo created by Bill Collins. - Ralph Hadley
