The TYP356ne club ended it's official 2008 driving season with a fabulous drive and social
event. Members of the club met at Ralph Hadley's home, checked out his garage then went on
a meandering drive through Andover, Boxford and North Andover. The drive culminated in about
a dozen Porsches parked on the grass in front of Steven and Elizabeth Leed's phenomenal
Carriage House. The club's Porsches were parked on one side facing Steven's outstanding personal
collection with picnic tables separating the two groups of cars. More of his show quality, but
driven collector cars were displayed in their carriage house. These included a Jaguar,
Austin Healey, Morgan, Isetta and the finest Mini Cooper you will ever see. There were over
20 cars displayed for Club members, neighbors and friends to enjoy. In addition Bob and
Paula Williamson along with Peter and Joyce Thompson showed up in the Williamsons' new Citroen 2CV.
It was a wonderful relaxing afternoon with old Porsche friends and some new ones. The food
was excellent and conversations were flowing through the afternoon. A sincere thanks to Steven and Elizabeth Leed for a great time and their exceptional hospitality. We are all
looking forward to the 2009 driving season here in New England.
