Tom Gentz Tech Session (1 through 26 of 26)
The TYP356ne club held it's first Technical session for 2008 and what a terrific session it was. Held on 2/18/08, the Tech session on panel beating was well attended with over 15 members and guests. Prior to the instruction/demonstrating portion of the session Tom Gentz discussed safety aspects involving working in a restoration shop. Then the session concentrated on the various methods used to remove dents including the Hammer and Dolly process, shrinking with Oxygen-Acetylene, replacing metal with a patch panel and MIG welder. We all walked away with more knowledge and appreciation on working with metal. Of course the morning coffee/donuts were great. After the Tech session we were treated with various Hors d'oeuvres followed by a chowder, chicken sausages and seafood sandwiches and dessert. No one left hungry. A special thanks to Tom and Mary Lou Gentz for hosting both an interesting and wonderful day.
