On a beautiful, sunny Spring day, Saturday, March 14, 2009, 21 members of TYP356ne and another
ten members from the Southern Connecticut 356 club met at Farnbacher Loles in Danbury, CT for an
informative tech session on front suspension. Some members like Bob DiCorpo, Tom Tate,
Bill Caterino, Charles Kling and Ed Santana all drove their Porsches there on a shake down
cruise.
Jeff Adams, Air-Cooled Specialist and Kip Harris, Managing Director welcomed the 356'ers to
their shop. Jeff is known as a four cam specialist, one of only a few in the world. Plus, Jeff
works on any 356 maintenance issue or question you have about your car. Jeff used to work at
KAM Motors until the owner retired. Jeff provided an in depth presentation on 356 front
suspension discussing Porsche measuring tools built specifically for the 356 by Porsche and
some homemade ones that he crafted to perform certain important tasks. Additionally, Jeff
discussed front torsion tubes, torsion bar springs, front swing arms, king pins and bushings,
and all the details of a 356 suspension from Pre-A through C's.
The Farnbacher Loles Porsche repair shop is shared with their Porsche Club Racecar shop. The
Farnbacher Loles Professional racecar shop is located at Road Atlanta in Georgia.
This was one of the most in depth tech sessions in terms of a focus on all the parts, measuring
tools and theory of your front suspension.
Everyone that attended raved about Jeff's ability to provide clear and concise information. If
you have any 356 issues, Jeff Adams at Farnbacher Loles can be reached at their website
