German Car Day at the Museum of Transportation - - Two Winners!!
The Best Porsche of the Show went to Craig Hess with his highly polished Red Outlaw 356 - - the crowd raved over his car today! There was a huge field of more than 50 Porsches present, so this was a true accomplishment for Craig. The lower field was almost full of German cars too. Many said that they had not seen so many cars at German Car Day.
Additionally, Bob Seigel won the prestigious award of "Museum Employees' Car of the Show." Bob has a wonderfully preserved 1957 A coupe that came from Florida a year or so ago. The mechanicals and interior are up to date, but the paint is still original and the MOT employees appreciated that Bob has decided to hold off on the paint job and let interested viewers see how the car looked in 1957.
We had over 20 club member cars present today.
Tech Chair, Tom Tate, was in charge of parking cars on the field and welcomed all the members who wished to stop by after the show to have a beer and a cheeseburger. Thank you Tom for all your hard work organizing German Car Day for TYP356ne, and the MOT, and the great visit at your home and your new Black A coupe underconstruction.
Congratulations to Craig, Bob and Tom Tate!
