This year's Holiday Party was again another wonderful afternoon with our friends of the TYP356ne club. The social hour turned into a full two hours, with an ample supply of appetizers. We were treated to monster prawns and vegetables with dip, Sesame seed covered chicken tenders on skewers, and very tasty meatballs in tomato sauce. The meal was served and the room went quiet while we all devoured the fish, steak, and pasta with broccoli dishes that were put before us. Again there were a lot of donated raffle gifts, from motor oil, to beautiful photographs, along with a lot of fine wines and Porsche memorabilia.
This Holiday Party was the party of change for us, with the ending of Tom Gentz as our 2010-11 President. He did a good job of holding the Board in check and worked hard to keep our Club headed forward with fresh ideas. He is to be congratulated on a job well done. Tom will now continue on the Board as our Technical Coordinator.
We now welcome our new President Ralph Hadley to the helm, and Dennis McGurk as our new Vice President. Ralph, as many of you know, has been in the Club for many years and served as Vice President under Tom Gentz. He has the skills and desire to take us further down the road less traveled. With the support of the membership helping him find new and interesting ideas to present at the Board Meetings, I am sure that TYP356ne will be the kind of Club that we all will enjoy in the coming years.
